摘要:

The oboe has developed during the second half of 20th Century very quickly and  in many diverse ways including an increased range, the addition of extended techniques (multiphonics, frull tongue, double staccato, circular breathing, sing and play at the same time, etc.), and an overall development of agility, dynamics, and timbre. These innovations are thanks, in part, to one central figure in the music of 20th and 21st centuries, the Swiss oboist, composer, and conductor, Heinz Holliger.  Other music written during this period by several composers, like Carter, Yun, Denisow, Castiglioni, and Berio further developed the instrument into what it is today.

During the lecture recital, we will approach to some of the most characteristics pieces from the oboe repertoire from composers around the world, one Korean (Yun), one American (Carter), one Russian (Denissow) and one Spanish (García-Cano) with the addition of two instruments to the oboe, the English horn and the viola.
