Principal oboist of the National Symphony Orchestra in Mexico, Alejandro Tello is a stauch advocate for his instrument. Born in Veracruz in 1978, he began his musical studies at age 5 years and oboe at the age of eleven, in the School of Fine Arts in his hometown. He continued his studies at the National School of Music of the UNAM , under the tutelage of Roberto Kolb in Mexico City . Having completed their training, conducted master studies under the guidance of oboists renowned as Emmanuel Abbühl (London Symphony Orchestra) , Rafael Palacios ( L ' Orchestre des Champs Elysées) , Christoph Lindemann , Washington Barella (SWR Baden -Baden und Freiburg Symphony Orchestra ), Isaac Duarte ( Tonhalle Orchester ), Alex Klein ( Oberlin Conservatory ), Thomas Indermühle ( Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe ) and Ingo Goritzky ( Staatliche Hochschule für Musik and Performing Arts Stuttgart) He is currently a scholarship in Germany , studying , perfecting instrumental studies with renowned oboist Hansjörg Schellenberger and director. He has been principal oboist guest in various International orchestras and chamber ensembles such Royal Ballet Covent Garden London, Ballet of the Teatro Alla Scalla Milan , Kirov Ballet Orchestra , Bolivar Soloist , Camerata de las Americas, among others. In the field of contemporary music , he has participated in projects like Lab 33, Kontempo ensemble, and currently participates in Liminal ensemble. He has taught oboe at Camp Child and Youth Orchestra of Mexico ( OSIM ) , Timber Coordinator since 2011 of major academic meeting Instrumenta Oaxaca. Since 2012 has been responsible for the creation of the University Oboe Festival in México. From 2013 , he is also principal oboist Tiroler Festspiele in Erl , Austria, which has its festival in summer and winter editions. As a soloist he has performed with the Camerata de las Americas, the Chamber Orchestra of Fine Arts and the National Symphony Orchestra.
